In a room filled with industry leaders, pioneers, and innovators, Indlondlo Cultural Village achieved a monumental milestone. We were officially honoured with the prestigious Exceptional Award for Rural Investment and Township Economy Development (Special Mayor's Award), cementing our place as a shining beacon of South African cultural preservation and economic growth.
This remarkable award, reflects our collective hard work, passion and vision of our entire team, recognising excellence across the tourism value chain. Owned and spearheaded by Msizeni Mngadi, Indlondlo Cultural Village serves as the proud Zulu homestead for the world-renowned Indlondlo Zulu Dancers community organisation. What started as a mission to preserve Zulu heritage and promote peace through traditional song, drumming and dance has evolved into a thriving powerhouse for regional tourism. Located just 40 minutes outside the Durban city centre, Indlondlo Cultural Village serves as a vital bridge between South Africa's vibrant history and modern travellers. The independent panel of judges, who conducted meticulous adjudications and site visits earlier this year, recognised that Indlondlo is much more than a typical tourist stop, moreover tt is a living, breathing sanctuary where history is passed down to the next generation, mentoring youth and offering positive, constructive pathways through the arts.

Indlondlo Dancers: A cancellation fee equivalent to the full amount will be applied if accommodation is cancelled 5 days or less prior to the booked date.
Indlondlo Cultural Village Venue Hire: A cancellation fee equivalent to the full amount will be applied if venue and event is cancelled 5 days or less prior to the booked date.
